December 2012 (109) The village Christmas Tree will be sponsored this year by Jeremy and Carolyn Daw, suppliers of lovely tasty tender meat, advertised on the pink pig as you enter the village, so “Thank you” to them. And one last thing. It?s a good job George is on the Council. It was his turn to attend the Parish Hall Committee meeting and give a report. He said, “Di Axtell looked at me and saw „mug?”.

November 2012 (108) Amazingly another year has nearly gone and it is time to advertise the Annual St Dominick Christmas Tree Lights Switch On. October 2012 (107) Our Speaker, Jackie Eastwood, who works under the title of Community Fundraiser and Volunteer Coordinator, showered us with interesting facts which we feel are worth sharing. This flying ambulance is now in its 25th year,it costs around £2 million per annum and receives no government funding, every penny must come from donations and fundraising.

September 2012 (106) St Dominic Chapel meets every Sunday evening at 6pm, but 3pm in the afternoon in winter with an average of 15 in the congregation although sadly some members have recently passed away There is a coffee morning on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. The Chapel works with St Dominic School and pupils come to the Chapel on Wesley Day and at Christmas and Easter and the Chapel has donated two lots of Christian Books to St Dominic School library and one set to the school at St Mellion.

July 2012 (105) Just a reminder that the Annual Autumn show will be upon us on Saturday 8th September and you are all invited to enter, or at least come to view other people’s efforts. Those of you who are new to the village will be expected to enter at least one class, it's the taking part that counts and not at all daunting on the day.

June 2012 (104) Our objective of saving the dyke in the Tamar has been achieved and the Committee now feel the time has come to release our funds for the community. We wish to commemorate the efforts of many people by donating a seat at Lovell's Park. Our Constitution states that the remainder of the money should go to St. Dominick Parish Council for the benefit of environmental projects within the community. Our Committee hopes that you will agree to this and spend the money wisely.

May 2012 (103) St Dominic Church - The PCC would like to pass on their grateful thanks, to members of the Parish who have family members buried in the Churchyard, for their contributions towards the cost of grass cutting in the graveyard. Whilst we do receive an annual grant from the Parish Council, this only covers a portion of the yearly cost, and we wish to continue to maintain the area as it has been done in the past
